The past couple months I have been getting busy again. I went to Daytona again for the Turkey Run on Thanksgiving week end. It was another sucessfull show. The weather was a little cool but NO WIND or rain.
Ran into another artist, Gerson. He painted this van years ago and brought it to the show. Turns out he is friends with Surfin' Sam, a good customer of mine here in Columbus. I've Known Sam for years. Small world. Here are a couple of the jobs I did there.
I ended up spending a couple days after the show at Judith's house and then headed home. I had a bunch of work to do before I could go out west for the Moon party and the Brush off. I got a call from one of my regulars to letter a race car. This is a 1964 Thunderbolt. A car built by Ford, strictly as a race car. There weren't many of these made. Only a couple hundred. This one has 120 miles on it...1/4 mile at a time. It belongs to Pete Ricart,of the local Ford dealer. I was to reproduce the first paint job the car had when it was new.
